AFCM conducted an online training course on “Shortening of Settlement Cycle: How it affects clearing houses and liquidity in the region” in collaboration with Euromoney on the 4th of December, 2025. The half-day program provided participants with a thorough understanding of the T+1 settlement process for equity trades in the MENA region, including dual-listed equities with one MENA-based exchange. It covered the evolution from T+2 to T+1, key players, regulatory requirements, technology upgrades, and impacts on buy-side and sell-side institutions.
