During the Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) held on May 16, 2017 in Tehran, it was decided to move the Federation's headquarter from Istanbul, Turkey to Yerevan, Armenia. With the majority of "for" and no "against" votes, the General Assembly elected Armenia as the new host country for the FEAS's headquarter, after 22 years of operation in Turkey, since the establishment of the Federation in 1995. Trading resumed on the New York Stock Exchange floor around 3:10 p.m. ET Wednesday, July 8th after a technical issue caused a more than three and a half hour halt.
Trading stopped around 11:30 a.m. ET due to what the exchange called an "internal technical issue."
By about 3:15 p.m. ET, the NYSE said "all systems are functioning normally" except the Openbook data feed for the NYSE MKT primary markets. Volume was light after floor trading restarted and closing auctions continued as normal.
The NYSE said all open orders before the halt, including market on close, limit on close and closing offset, were canceled.

BATS Global Markets, Bahrain Bourse, Euronext and The Nigerian Stock Exchange accepted as members at the 54th Meeting in Seoul
 
(28 October 2014, Seoul) – Today, at the World Federation of Exchanges’ (WFE) General Assembly in Seoul, Korea, Chairmen and Chief Executives from more than 50 of the world’s leading exchanges gathered to make a number of important decisions for the future of the organization. The annual Assembly represents the largest and most widely attended gathering of global exchange leaders. 
 
The General Assembly elected and approved new WFE officers and board members, led by new Chairman Juan Pablo Cordoba, CEO of Bolsa de Valores de Colombia. Ravi Narain, Vice Chairman of the National Stock Exchange of India, was elected Vice Chairman of WFE while the Chairman of the Working Committee will be Dr. Urs Rüegsegger, Chairman of SIX Swiss Exchange.
